Adventures in bedside table-ing.

11 Jul

A few weeks ago, I purchased a bedside table from a friend who was moving to Berlin.  It was just what I was looking for in size and design, and just needed either refinishing or a paint job.  I opted to paint it white to match the rest of the furniture in my Texana bedroom.

I sanded, taped, and primed…

and the result:

Note that I removed the back component of the drawer-pull – leaving only the front ring.  I think it looks cleaner and less heavy.  Thoughts?  Ideas? Suggestions?

Well I like what you’ve done! I agree about moving the back part of the pull. It looks more modern actually. You did a great job! I loved it the old way, BUT i love it even more the new way. You know me, i’m like, when in doubt, paint it white!
